That’s right. Bring it on, baby.
I have a month’s worth of groceries, a snow shovel and plenty of work and projects to keep me busy. It’s a good thing too because we’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Do you see our driveway? No, I don’t either.
What I thought was eight inches of snow is probably more like 12 or 14. And it’s still coming down. I just returned from a little mercy mission to clear the bird feeders and sprinkle around some whole peanuts and black oil sunflower seed. The birds practically landed on my shoulders they were so happy to see me.
The chickens are just fine in their insulated and heated coop. But they were confused when I opened their window to the world and there were no colors out there—just white. I figure they’ll get tired of looking out in a while and I’ll go back and close the window.
For little dogs, Sarah and Sophie adore the snow. They hop around like bunnies—well, at least until they get bogged down. So this morning’s exercise was some aerobic snow shoveling for a small potty path.
The East Coast is getting pounded. If you’re in our part of the world I hope you’re safe, warm and have plenty of interesting things to keep you busy today.
Looks the same here except it has stopped snowing. We aren’t going to get above freezing either which means our roads aren’t going to clear. Beautiful photos with everything so snow laden.

I love the way the snow highlights the branches. It’s good you can stay home and just enjoy it. I’m imagining you like Snow White or Cinderella with the birds twittering around you.

Robin, it looks so beautiful and so very, very cold! Harry and Ben are very fortunate to be snowed in with such a good cook. I imagine you get very creative in weather like this.
Do you heat your coop with a lamp or some other source? Our girls are perplexed, especially since it went down to zero. I want to move them in the house!
BB, what a beautiful day, and all snugged in!
I don’t miss getting stranded by snowstorms. That’s one nice thing about moving to town with a very short driveway. I used to lose my white Pomeranian in the snow all the time too
.
Yowza! That’s big snow. Good thing you’ve got sewing projects underway. Keep warm my friend.~~Dee
Ahhh so lovely with all that snow. I too love the joyful romps of dogs in the snow.

Hope you’re shovelled out by now, Robin. Oddly, we haven’t had any precipitation here today, though the east coast of Nova Scotia is getting belted. Our turn will come. Have fun with it…

Thank God for the varied means of learning that snow is on the way so one can prepare for it. I’m very happy that you didn’t lose power. That definitely adds a level of anxiety that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I know you’ll enjoy the beauty and change of pace that a big snowstorm brings.

I know you got pounded with more snow than normal, but it does look lovely.
I’ve tagged you at my blog. But no pressures. PLEASE. Just another way to draw traffic to your lovely stories.
Here’s to a great 2010. Teresa
